Coast
Michael
has served as Executive Director of InternetCoast since July
2003.
Prior
to accepting the position of Executive Director for InternetCoast,
Michael worked for four and a half years as Channel Manager
at Citrix Systems, an Access Infrastructure Software Company
with headquarters in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Prior
to joining Citrix, Corbit served as the Director of Marketing
and Communications for Champion Solutions Group, an IBM Premier
Business Partner. While at Champion, Corbit served on several
IBM Advisory Boards including RS/6000 Products, TeamPlayers
Marketing, Network Computing Software and Lead Management.
Corbit
is a past Member of the Board of Directors of The Business
Development Board of Palm Beach County, where he chaired the
Information/Technology Cluster.
He
also served on the Board of Advisors and Executive Committee
for InternetCoast and served as Program Chair since its inception
in 1999. Michael serves on the board of directors of Florida
Atlantic Univesity's InternetCoast Institute. The InternetCoast
Institute Workforce Development Office works as an interface
between important corporations and organizations in South
Florida and various technology programs at FAU.
Michael
serves on the board of the South Florida Bioscience Consortium,
a group that is fostering biotech growth and development in
our region and the Southeast Florida Chapter of BioFlorida.
Michael
serves on the advisory board of Florida International University's
Institute for Technology and Innovation. The Institute for
Technology Innovation's mission is to create both an environment
and an infrastructure for technology innovation and commercialization
at FIU.
Michael
serves on Devry University's Computer Information Systems
advisory board. The board helps direct the broad knowledge
and skills areas curriculum for Devry including network architecture,
systems design, programming, senior projects, database design
and administration and web applications.
Corbit
has more than 24 years of marketing experience in information
technology, healthcare and real estate fields.
