During our February 16 webinar "Cross-Border Business Development; Palm Beach & Bahrain" we were honored to have so many diplomats and professionals speak about the evolving relationship between the business and educational communities of Palm Beach and Bahrain, including Dr. Kevin Ross the President of Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.
Greetings from Lynn University in Palm Beach County, Florida. Over the past 60 years, our institution has grown alongside our county and our city of Boca Raton, and as our region continues to evolve as a hub for education, technology, and commerce, we are proud offer programs in fast growing areas like hospitality, international Business and finance, education and communication, and design to prepare our students for success in the workforce. Since our founding in 1962, we have brought together students from a variety of backgrounds and viewpoints, and we understand and celebrate the strength of our differences. Our students represent more than 100 countries, including Bahrain. We've welcomed over a dozen students from Bahrain over the last number of years and more than 160 students from the Gulf region in the past decade.
When you enter our campus, there is a flag representing the home country of each of our students, and our University community truly is in many United Nations, U. S. News and Wool Report recently ranked Lynn first in the most International Students in the south category, and the Niche 2021 College Rankings named Lynn University and top school in our nation for diversity. We also have multiple articulation agreements with international institutions and are eager to collaborate on student and faculty exchanges. Additionally, Lynn has been recognized four times as an Apple Distinguished School for our willingness to work with students how they live and learn.
Today, through our latest strategic plan, Lynn 2025 designed for the future, we are focusing on engaging, expanding, and elevating Lynn as an innovator in global higher education. This past fall, we welcomed our largest ever incoming class and our total University enrollment has increased more than 60% in the last ten years. We offer a wide variety of Liberal arts areas of study, and our iPad powered learning program custom core curriculum and flexible block scheduling provide an academic experience designed for student success. As pioneers of tablet based learning, we introduced our iPad program over eight years ago so that all of our students have access to the same technology and tools that support our mobile, digital and collaborative dialogues. Through the dialogues custom here to Lynn, students take courses in justice and civic life, self and society, belief and reason, as well as quantitative reasoning and scientific literacy. Here at Lynn, our students can study everything from biology to drama to cybersecurity and data analytics, and even learn to use business as a force for good. Through our Social Impact Lab, we are continuously enhancing learning experience from our academic programs to our campus facilities. We believe in bold and persistent experimentation and are excited and optimistic about the future.
